Without the proper basis for oral function, the ability to feed properly- optimize cranial growth- maximize airway development and the infant/parent dyad will most likely be negatively impacted.
Whether by breast or bottle, if your little one is struggling to feed in any capacity a PROPER screening by a HEALTHCARE PROVIDER specifically TRAINED IN ORAL FUNCTION should always be completed. Always remember, just because symptoms are COMMON never means they are NORMAL.

My goal is to ensure the families I work with are prepared mentally, physically and with the guidance needed for their child’s frenectomy procedure to be successful.

Sherrie‘s passion for helping individuals achieve optimal oral health began in 1993 when she graduated Dental Hygiene School. In 2011, after the negative impacts of oral ties affected her family, that passion led her outside the walls of clinical dental hygiene and into the World of Orofacial Myology where she found her true calling.
Since that time she has accumulated hundreds of hours of specialized training in the field of lactation, holistic health, myofunctional therapy and studying the far reaching impacts of oral dysfunction in utero.
A few of the courses she has taken over the years include : TOTS with Autumn Henning, numerous courses through Sarah Hornsby of Myomentor, BMTM with Brooke Pettus, IBCLC Masterclass in Oral Habilitation as well as courses through the IAOM of which she is a member and an Ambassador through The Breathe Institute.
She maintains her licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist, Certification as a Health Coach, practicing Orofacial Myologist and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant also known as an IBCLC. She utilizes her training in these areas on a daily basis assisting laser releases, providing pre and post Frenectomy care, lactation support and Myofunctional therapy to infants of all sizes. When not working with patients she shares her knowledge with others as a mentor and consultant.
Her love of Orofacial Myology and Lactation are the catalyst behind MyoMy Baby , her mission is to provide accessibilty to the much needed skillset she holds in rural communities via telehealth and satellite locations .
